The most common Cheat terms with a short explanation — so you always know what is being said at the table.
The pile
The central face-down stack where every play goes. Its contents stay hidden until a challenge flips the last play; players only see how many cards it holds.
Rank cycle
The fixed order the table climbs: Ace, 2, 3 … 10, Jack, Queen, King, then back to Ace. The first hand of a round is always Aces and every completed hand moves one step up.
Bluff
Playing cards that are not the required rank while claiming they are. Bluffing is legal and expected — with no card of the rank it is your only move.
Cheat!
The challenge call. Any player except the one who just played may call it during the call window, forcing the played cards to be revealed.
Call window
The short period after a play (5 seconds online) during which a Cheat! call can be made. Once it closes without a challenge, the play stands for good.
Pickup
Taking the whole central pile into your hand. The liar picks it up when a bluff is caught; the accuser picks it up after a failed challenge.
Penalty points
The cards left in your hand when the round ends count as penalty points — fewer is better. Points accumulate across rounds.
Round
One deal-to-win sequence: from the full 52-card deal until the first player sheds their last card and survives the call window.
